A picture I’m currently working on. 4 hours of drawing bliss. You wouldn’t believe how engrossing this kind of drawing is.

While I was sick this week I whipped up some cycles. Yay! I hadn’t done these in a while and it was nice to do something simple - especially since I was feeling rather ordinary. There’s a bit of a jolt in the walk cycle that I need to work out and I’d like to try a few different kinds of runs and walks next time. For now, here’s some good old generic cycles.

I spent Monday afternoon animating. It felt good to actually be working on something like this. I once again realized how much I enjoy lip syncing

. It’s just so darn satisfying when you see a character speak! The following two videos are my blocking and lip sync. The last one is the animation I was working on before this one.

Going good so far, just hope nothing distracts me from finishing it this time…

It’s a work in Progress - I’m reproducing a picture of Lara Croft as an exorcise in shading and tone.
